PAOV — Hockey Canada’s responses to sexual assault allegations have revealed a toxic culture within their leadership. It’s been shown that they have used significant funds to cover up abuse and interim board chair Andrea Skinner has demonstrated a complete lack of responsibility. Other responses from Hockey Canada have also made it clear that the organization is not able to reform with current leadership, who were complacent to sexual assault allegations. Mark started this petition calling for a change in Hockey Canada leadership, and inviting other hockey-lovers to join him in pushing for accountability and change. Sign to help change Hockey Canada.

With the recently declared intent by Andrea Skinner (Interim Board Chair of Hockey Canada) to not change the leadership of Hockey Canada in the wake of the recent sexual assault scandal, including the use of hockey funds (paid by hockey parents) to settle prior sexual assault allegations, I am asking Canadians from coast to coast, who love and want to protect hockey, to sign this petition that requests full sweeping changes at the highest levels of leadership within Hockey Canada and to commit to not supporting any corporate partners Hockey Canada takes on to support their Men’s programs, including the 2022-23 World Junior Hockey Championship, until those changes in leadership have been made.

Hockey Canada’s statements in regard to their toxic culture, their handling of these sexual assault allegations and their inability to take meaningful steps to change their leadership has been wholly lacking, inappropriate and must be condemned.

Please let Hockey Canada know they will be held to account for this unprecedented situation by us, the hockey loving and protecting citizens of Canada!
