PAOV — “Those that don’t die from the abuse spend their miserable lives trapped with dead birds at their feet.” Global hospitality company Millennium Hotels received praise and profit when they pledged to end the use of small and cruel cages for chickens in their supply chains. However, they are now failing to report on their progress. Open Wing Alliance (OWA) says these chicken cages are so small that birds are unable to move or spread their wings. The chickens suffer fractured bones, deformities, and are often trampled to death. OWA is holding Millennium Hotels accountable to their promises. Sign today to join them.

17,071 have signed Open Wing Alliance (OWA)’s petition. Let’s get to 25,000!

Global hospitality companies - Langham Hospitality Group, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Millennium Hotels, and Four Seasons Hotels - are being called out for their failure to be honest about their cage-free progress.
All of these companies have pledged to ban the use of cruel cages in their supply chain. The world applauded their commitments and these companies profited from their cage-free promise but now they’re hiding their progress, or lack thereof, from the public.
These cages are so small and packed with birds that the hens can’t move or spread their wings. Often, their body parts are caught in the caging, resulting in fractured or broken bones, deformities, and severe feather loss. Some hens, exhausted or unable to move, are trampled to death by their cage mates. Those that don’t die from the abuse spend their miserable lives trapped with dead birds at their feet.
Hundreds of companies around the world are ditching cages and have the reports to prove it. Many of the leading hospitality groups, including Accor, Aramark, Radisson, Kempinski, Starhotels, and Mandarin, are consistently reporting meaningful progress on their global cage-free commitments. Yet Langham Hospitality, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Millennium Hotels, and Four Seasons continuously fail to report.
It is unacceptable that Langham Hospitality, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Millennium Hotels, and Four Seasons refuse to be transparent about their progress all while deceiving customers, harming animals, and profiting off of empty promises! Please sign this petition asking them to catch up to their competitors and report their cage-free progress!
