The Greenbelt is two million acres of protected area of green space, farmland, forests, wetlands, and watersheds, located in Southern Ontario, Canada protected from development. The Premier of Canada, Doug Ford wants to open up the Greenbelt... for the construction of housing and related uses to make his and his developer friends’ pockets deeper. Meanwhile, the residents of Southern Ontario will be left to suffer the degradation of our forests and the environmental impact that will result from it. This is all without mention of the animals and biodiversity that will lose its home as a result of the land swap. Together we can stop this. Sign our petition and tell Doug Ford to keep his hands off our Greenbelt.
