Happy Valentine’s Day, Paov, I hope you get to spend some quality time today with the people you love.
Sadly, our Prime Minister is still giving way too much love to the fossil fuel industry. That’s why we’re sending Trudeau a very special Valentine’s Day message:
Since we launched this cheeky action yesterday, hundreds of people across the country have joined us in calling on Trudeau to break up with Big Oil.
But we’re still missing your name, Paov.
Last week, fossil fuel companies reported another round of record profits, confirming that 2022 was their most lucrative year ever. But instead of investing in clean energy, the oil giants are walking back their climate pledges1 and canceling promised production cuts. So much for claims that they’re going green.
It’s obvious that Big Oil billionaires only care about one thing – profits – and they’re willing to put everyone and everything the rest of us love at risk to protect their obscene wealth.
We elected Trudeau to work for us and represent our best interests. Let’s hold him to that.
Paov, help us make sure Trudeau hears from thousands of people across Canada today with a clear message: it’s time to break up with Big Oil. That means no more meetings with Big Oil lobbyists and immediate action to deliver federal just transition legislation that speeds up the shift to clean energy while making sure no one gets left behind.
