Paov,

Our friends at the David Suzuki Foundation are leading an exciting campaign to accelerate Canada's transition to clean energy. This week we have an opportunity to give them a boost.

Next Monday, DSF and allies will deliver tens of thousands of petition signatures on Parliament Hill, demanding affordable, 100% zero-emissions electricity for everyone in Canada by 2035. With the federal government set to release draft Clean Electricity Regulations soon, this is a crucial moment to make sure elected officials hear the peoples’ call for bold climate action.

To support DSF’s campaign, we just launched our own petition, aligned with their demands. We’re aiming to reach a combined total of 50,000 signatures before the rally in Ottawa.

Paov, can you sign the petition now to help us send the strongest possible message on June 5?

SIGN THE PETITION

Canada has committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions from electricity generation by 2035, but the fossil fuel industry and their allies are working overtime to delay action, exploit loopholes to keep gas plants running, and make sure their profits continue to soar.

We can’t trust them, Paov.

Extensive research commissioned by DSF has proven that Canada can achieve 100% zero-emissions electricity for all by 2035, going beyond net zero. This transformation, if done right, will not only help us meet our climate targets, it will create thousands of good jobs and make energy more affordable and secure for all of us.1

Many of you have called on us to coordinate more closely with other organizations fighting for climate justice. This is a great chance to do just that.

Sign the petition now to help our allies make a big splash in Ottawa on June 5.

In solidarity,

Amara

PS: If you’re in Ottawa, please RSVP to attend the rally on June 5 and invite your friends to help spread the word. Even if you’re not in Ottawa, you can help by sharing the event with your friends in the area.
