The Northern Spotted Owl is one of the rarest birds of prey in Canada, with it’s shy nature and dwindling population. It’s habitat was recently opened to logging companies, and as of now, a recent alert on "The Guardian" has been posted saying that only one female owl remains in the wild. Efforts to make it mate with captive owls are currently underway, but according to the program, each one that is released has either been found dead or injured. Unfortunately, though the government and Environmental Federation has been "stressing" over the issue, they still have barely done anything, despite constant encouragement to double their efforts.

Owls are extraordinary creatures, possessing acute hearing and relatively silent flight, as well as a tremendously high IQ. They are also a keystone species, meaning that they are very essential to their habitat. If a keystone species is lost, the entire ecosystem would be at risk of collapsing. Similarly, if this owl were to go extinct, this would be just another tragic story of a unique animal gone to waste.

Considering this, it is high time for the government to take responsibility for their own actions and help diminish the consequences caused by them. Not only would this fix the problem, it would also help to prevent future accidents. Urge the administration to save the dwindling population of the Northern Spotted Owl by taking action NOW!
