Dear Friend,

Despite record-breaking wildfires from coast-to-coast, the federal government is still not acting on the climate crisis at the pace and scale that’s needed. That’s why we’re teaming up with our friends at 350 Canada for a day of action on June 28th. Your MP needs to hear from you and your community.

Join an event near you

Canada is Burning is an emergency day of action on June 28th to demand that the federal government stop fueling climate chaos. Already, the map of events is filling up fast with over 20 actions already confirmed – and we’re expecting more.

We’re trying to organize as many actions as possible. Friend, will you help us make the biggest possible impact by organizing an action at your MP’s office?

Just last week, the federal government unveiled its long-promised Sustainable Jobs Act, but the bill had no specifics, no urgency, and no mention of a just transition. With wildfires raging across nearly every province and territory and climate scientists calling for radical action, this inadequate plan to make a plan is simply unacceptable.

We need the federal government to act with the courage necessary to tackle the climate emergency.

That’s why we’re working with 350 Canada to invite communities across the country to take action on June 28th and make it impossible for our federal leaders to ignore the urgency of this moment.

Together, we will show up at as many MP offices as possible and demand federal action to:

1. Stop the fossil fuel industry: no more subsidies, no new projects, and no more industry influence over our politics.
2. Enact a just transition: urgently shift us to 100 per cent renewables while generating millions of unionized jobs, following Indigenous leadership, and aligning with climate science.
