Justice betrayed! A woman is sexually assaulted and then falsely arrested by a NYC police officer! She is then convicted of assaulting HIM? The court process showed clear bias on the part of Judge Zweibel in favor of the prosecution. Evidence of the... officer's prior acts of aggression and falsificatin of evidence was not allowed. Video of rampant police brutality against peaceful protesters the night of March 17, 2012 was not allowed. Cecily is now at RIKER'S with NO BAIL. She is not an elopement risk! She didn't kill anyone! She is a graduate student! The trial is proof we live in a city, state and country where civil dissent is squashed with the IRON FIST or GROPING HAND of the police, and the War on Women continues.
Governor Cuomo, live up to the brave example of your father! Your father was a leader and staunch supporter of civil rights respected by all. Pardon Cecily McMillan NOW! Mayor DeBlasio, you campaigned on an Occupy platform. You campaigned against police brutality and violations of civil rights. You stand for the First Amendment and the Right to Peaceful Assembly. The police were not peaceful that night and justice has not been served. It is now time to PROVE you meant what you said when elected, and ask Governor Cuomo to PARDON CECILY MCMILLAN NOW!
