Supporters and Volunteers of YES2SCS,

After an amaaazing summer in Victoria, the YES2SCS campaign is back and ready to gear up for Fall! Here are some upcoming opportunities for our supporters:

Volunteer Opportunity: YES2SCS will have a table at Project Connect, a day-long event on October 21 at Our Place sponsored by the Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness. We are seeking volunteers to represent us and talk to participants about our campaign. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. Presentation Opportunity: Are you part of a group or organization that would benefit from a presentation about the need for SCS in Victoria? If so, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information.

Donation Opportunity: Want to support YES2SCS, but don't have the time? We now have a paypal account set up through our website for donations that will help us with materials and events related to building and showing support for SCS in Victoria.

The "I Support" YES2SCS photo project has been in the process of gathering photos from individuals and organizations that support supervised consumption services in Victoria. Check out these beauties!

Upcoming things to watch out for:
* The Municipal Election: We will be putting out a question about support for SCS to each of the candidates and publicizing the results. Stay tuned!
* The YES2SCS steering committee has begun to examine the process for applying for an exemption application. This is the exemption to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the means by which Insite in Vancouver has acquired the legal means for operating their site.
