Here are 3 proposals that beat the TPP

Your team at OpenMedia has led the fight to stop the TPP’s extreme censorship -- we engaged over 300,000 people in 155 countries around the world as part of creating a positive alternative to the TPP, the Our Digital Future report.

Now we need to rally support behind our plan - endorse our compelling video here, and share it to amplify our message.

Take Action!

Paov,

Your OpenMedia team has discovered that in just a few days, leaders of Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) countries will be meeting in Beijing.1

The U.S. continues to push the most aggressive parts of the TPP’s Internet censorship plan, with President Obama saying he’s determined to announce an agreement in the coming weeks.2

To push back, and build support for a positive vision, we need you join with us in spreading a powerful video that exposes the TPP’s Internet censorship plan to as many people as possible.

Despite continued opposition from over 3.1 million Internet users3 decision-makers will be trying to secretly lock in the framework for the extreme and binding TPP, including far-reaching new Internet censorship provisions that will affect us all.4

This is a fight we can win by showing our numbers -- we know the more people understand what's at risk in the TPP, the harder it will be for political leaders to advance it.

Decision-makers are working to duck the consequences at home and shield themselves from their own citizens by holding the meeting in China - a country not even involved in the TPP!

This time, we’ll need to step up our efforts.

Luckily we have a new tool at our disposal -- a powerful video that exposes TPP censorship, and champions a positive agenda for free expression online.

This video was crowdfunded entirely by you, our community, and draws on the voices of over 300,000 people who participated in the Our Digital Future process.

By watching it, and sharing it with your friends and family, you’re part of a growing global movement that will undermine the secretive TPP process.

Paov, will you endorse our new citizen-driven video to help make sure it reaches as many people as possible, before it’s too late?

Help us build our digital future,

-Meghan, Steve and Josh for OpenMedia

PS: We want to make sure as many people see this video as possible! Your support today will help us to promote our video with social media advertising. The more people know what’s at risk in the TPP, the harder it will be for political leaders to support it.
