West Coast was one of the first organizations of its kind in Canada, and on our 40th Anniversary what we do today is as important as when we opened our doors in 1974. We address the root causes of environmental threats. We empower British Columbians, and their communities, to defend what they value. We help give voice to indigenous laws that have been protecting the environment for millennia. We connect groups of people working around the province to share their knowledge and form larger movements. We enable citizens to have a say in decisions that affect them.
