Help hold one of Monsanto’s buddies accountable

Shine a light on Bayer for pushing pesticides linked to alarming bee die-offs.
Dear Paov,
You know about Monsanto, but did you know that Bayer — the company you may go to for aspirin — is one of the “Big 6” pesticide corporations as well? It turns out it is an equally bad actor when it comes to harming our food system.
Bayer CropScience is the corporation that brings you neonicotinoids, a class of pesticides linked to the dramatic population declines in honey bees and other pollinators in recent years. Bayer is doing all it can to keep its bee-harming products on the market.
Shame on you, Bayer » Join us and our friends at Corporate Accountability International in shining a light on Bayer’s misconduct. Bees are responsible for one in three bites of food we eat, and Bayer is putting its bottom line above pollinator — and food system — health. Please vote for Bayer in the 2014 Corporate Hall of Shame!
In the face of increased scientific evidence and public scrutiny about its bee-harming neonics, Bayer has pushed back with spin.
Its ramped up public relations efforts are designed to muddy the waters and distract from clear evidence linking declining bee populations to neonic exposure. These include a “Bee Care Center,” published children’s books about bees, and even launched a magazine called BEENOW.
Your vote matters » You can help put Bayer under the glare of public scrutiny this year for its bee-harming ways. The corporation that gets the most votes will feel the most heat, so your vote makes a real difference. Bayer’s corporate misdeeds must be publicized — and you can help make it happen.
