Dear Friend,
In my last letter to you, I predicted that Stephen Harper will stop at nothing to try to win the next election – and now it looks like most Canadians agree.
A startling new poll finds that nearly 70 per cent of Canadians are concerned that political parties may try to “manipulate the outcome of future elections through illegal activities.”
Canadians are right to be worried. After investigating those "robocalls" during the last election, a federal court judge found that there was an organized campaign of voter suppression, and that the information used to make misleading phone calls likely came from the Conservative party’s internal database.
In a separate case against a low-level Conservative election worker who was found guilty of making misleading calls, the judge said that “the evidence indicates he did not likely act alone.”
Friend, we have to take back Canada from Harper in the next election!
