Council of Canadians stands with Shoal Lake 40 for Freedom Road
Action Alert: Support Shoal Lake 40 – Demand the federal government commit its share to community’s Freedom Road
The residents of Shoal Lake 40 need your help. The Winnipeg and Manitoba governments have publicly declared their commitment of $10 million... each to Shoal Lake 40’s much needed “Freedom Road.” This road would allow the people of Shoal Lake 40 travel to and from their community safely. Now, they walk across unstable ice or use an aging ferry that was forced out of service several weeks this past spring for required repairs.
