PAOV – Last week we asked Canadians to start elections-related petitions, and people from across the country have answered the call in droves! Literally hundreds of petitions targeting all party leaders were created on Change.org in Canada since we sent that email. This is an outstanding and heartwarming reminder that people care about politics and social change.
Remember, petitions have the best chance of attracting broad support if they are limited to a few short and compelling paragraphs, have a picture, and ask something that the targeted decision-maker can do or could do if they were elected.
Here is a sample of petitions targeting all party leaders. Do you see if there is one you like? Is there anything missing that you'd like to add? If so, start a petition of your own!
