Seven down, one more to go!

Seven down, one more to go! r1 ... 80 years, 8 incredible challenges for Survival! r33 About Threats & Tribes News & Resources Our President, Robin Hanbury-Tenison helped found Survival in 1969, and has spent the last 46 years doing everything he can to grow the movement for tribal peoples’ rights.

In honor of his 80th year, Robin has pulled out all the stops, with eight daring challenges to raise funds to fight one of the most urgent and horrific humanitarian crises of our time.

He has skydived from 4,000 meters, abseiled down the deepest shaft in Britain, run the London Marathon, and climbed the four highest peaks in the British Isles.

This weekend, he’s hoping to complete his final extraordinary feat. If he succeeds, he will be the oldest person to water-ski the English Channel!

In Robin’s words, “I hope that my efforts will inspire Survival supporters, both young and old, to take action for tribal peoples. Survival relies entirely on public generosity to fund its urgent work. My eight challenges, one for each decade of my life, are my way of acknowledging Survival’s incredible work and leaving a legacy for future generations.”

Robin really needs your help to reach his £80,000 fundraising target.
