Thanks to you, this brain-harming pesticide is on its way out!

With your support, we’ll get chlorpyrifos out of food and farming for good — and build a safer, healthier food system
for all!
Dear Paov,
We’re excited. That neurotoxic insecticide we’ve been talking about? Officials from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) now say they plan to get rid of it — and the courts are telling them to hurry it up.
It’s not quite a done deal, but the writing is on the wall for chlorpyrifos — thanks to you!
Let's get it done! » How did we get here? PAN activists across the country signed petitions, made calls, submitted letters to policymakers and more. Your donation today will help us see chlorpyrifos out the door, and build a healthier food system for all!
As kids across the country head back to school, the need for urgent action on chemicals like chlorpyrifos is clear.
Health officials from California, for example, report that thousands of pounds of drift-prone, child-harming pesticides are used near schools across the state every year. We know chlorpyrifos is especially damaging to growing minds and bodies; rolling back its use will be a huge win — protecting children for generations to come.
A judge recently called EPA's lack of action on this chemical “egregious.” We agree. Rural kids living near farms and orchards are most at risk, but chlorpyrifos residues show up on fruits and veggies we all eat — including childhood favorites like apples and peaches.
Thanks for your support! » The science has never been so clear: kids and pesticides don’t mix. With your help, we’re making real change happen to protect children’s health.
Thank you so much for being part of the PAN family.
Warmly,
Judy Hatcher, Executive Director
