It just happened -- the Canadian Wheat Board has officially changed hands to foreign investors. And the Harper government was hoping we’d forget.
But we’re not gonna let ‘em off the hook that easy. We’re going to broadcast ads in vulnerable Conservative ridings to remind everyone about the legacy we’re being left with.

Remember the Canadian Wheat Board? It was just privatized -- screwing over Canadian farmers and handing priceless public assets to the highest corporate bidder.
Now, a conglomerate backed by a US agri-business giant and the Saudi Arabian government owns what farmers use to own. And we don't know what kickbacks Harper-appointed executives could get in exchange for the US-Saudi deal -- but we imagine it's pretty sweet.
Now that we're in the middle of the election, vulnerable Conservative MPs are hoping Canadians have forgotten all about the botched Wheat Board privatization. We haven't forgotten, and we're going to take sure nobody else does either. We're getting ads ready now to bring it back to the surface -- but we need your help to spread it far and wide before election day.

Harper handed over billions in public assets, paid for by Canadian farmers, for next to nothing. It's another example of our valuable Canadian institutions being privatized, and at a real cost to the public.
And the Minister responsible isn't even opening up a campaign office he's so sure he'll keep his seat.
But the thing is, even farmers who had their doubts about the CWB are mad at the way it was handed over.
We need your help to buy airtime on talk radio across the prairies, and make sure this fiasco gets some serious play as the election coverage heats up.
We don't know if grain producers in Western Canada will have any competitive options when it comes to selling or transporting their grain, or if they'll be at the mercy of powerful agri-businesses at every stage of the game.

Prairie farmers have been working all summer, watching their harvest grow and not knowing what price they'll get. They don't even know if a railway company will be willing to transport grain from a small player like them.
Help us put this on air. You can bet these farmers will be listening to the radio from sunrise to sunset as harvest time approaches.
Imagine cabinet ministers waking up to these questions on their local radio station - and knowing the folks they meet on the local BBQ circuit heard it too.
When Conservatives tried to push through the controversial Canada China investment deal, it was ads like these that made them feel the sting. Let's do it again.
