Hi PAOV,The federal election campaign is close to the halfway point now and candidates are out in their communities talking to Canadians about what they’ll do if elected.
One thing we want to hear more about is what candidates and their parties will do about continuing the global effort to end extreme poverty.
For global citizens around the country it’s an important issue that we want to hear talked about.
So what’s a global citizen to do? Not to worry, we’ve got you covered!
Our awesome partners at Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and ONE have an excellent campaign to get candidates talking about an issue we all care about.
#PoliticsAside gives you a simple way to send... a quick message to the candidates in your riding, asking them to put politics aside and recognize the importance of working to end extreme poverty. All you have to do is visit PoliticsAside.ca or PartisaneriedeCote.ca, fill in your postal code and their tool will automatically generate an email appealing to candidates in your riding.
Join hundreds of Canadians across the country and send your local candidates a message.More than 50 candidates have already joined the discussion on global development and poverty issues, and--with your help--we can get even more candidates involved!
