Friends,
World leaders and delegates from over 190 countries will descend on Paris this Monday to kick off the global climate talks.
When they do, we will meet them with a clear demand: keep at least 80% of fossil fuels underground and finance a just transition to 100% renewable energy by 2050.
That demand will be backed not just by science, but by a global movement that is stepping into the streets this weekend in over 2,000 places around the world as part of the Global Climate March.
And it will be hand-delivered onto the floor of the talks by the President of the Marshall Islands, one of the countries most at risk from rising seas (and fighting back hardest against them).
You can show that you stand with them, and with the global movement fighting through these difficult times:
The talks in Paris are beginning under a cloud of darkness that has cancelled major marches and triggered another wave of global violence.
But we believe the global climate movement can be a beacon of hope in this moment. If you've seen any of the photos already rolling in from the marches and actions happening around the world, then you know why.
You can help this beacon shine stronger by standing with both our friends in the Pacific on the front lines of the crisis, and everyone marching together this weekend. If you can't make it to a march or action, add your voice to the global petition.
We have a big two weeks ahead of us during the talks. As always, the only way through it all is together.
Thank you for standing with us,
