Hey PAOV,“[The world has]... many problems, but I think there is a solution to all these problems; it’s just one, and it’s education” - Malala Yousafzai
It’s hard to believe that we live in a world where some societies still discourage or forbid girls from attending school. Over the past 20 years we’ve made tremendous progress, but there’s still more to be done.
Right now though, global citizens the world over are coming together to keep moving forward.
Click here to stand for girls everywhere and help ensure that they have the same chance of a successful, independent future.
For every year a girl is not in the classroom, her future income decreases, leaving her more likely to be forced into marriage before the age of 18. That’s bad for girls, bad for society, and bad for the economy at large.
Just ensuring girls leave school with the same reading level as boys could help reduce the total extreme poverty rate by as much as 12% around the world.
Despite all the potential wealth that could be unlocked, #62MillionGirls still aren’t empowered to get a basic 12 year education. Ending extreme poverty means that girls, as well as boys, have access to the quality education they deserve.
Click here to say you’re in to keep up the momentum toward a world where every girl has their voice heard.
Thanks for all you do-
