It starts with health.

r1 The chance to survive and thrive.
View in browser Hey PAOV,

Think back a couple decades ago: in the 80’s and 90’s, we saw millions of people around the world suffer from the sudden rise of HIV/AIDS. Other diseases like Tuberculosis and Malaria became the subject of TV donation campaigns and charity concerts as the world saw a sharp uptick in infections.

What’s amazing is what’s happened since then. Now, millions of people are not only surviving these conditions, but are going on to live long, healthy lives.

Right now though, we have the chance to create a world where these diseases are fully a thing of... the past. Click here to help make it happen. The amazing progress we’ve seen over the past 20 years has been partly due to major advances in medicine, but also to money distributed by a group called the Global Fund for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.

Since 2002, the Global Fund has saved more than 17 million lives and has ensured that 8.1 million people are receiving treatment to combat HIV/AIDS, 13.2 million people tested and treated for Tuberculosis, and 548 million insecticide treated nets distributed to help fight malaria.

These efforts have been monumental, but too many people are still dying from conditions that are totally treatable. If we work together and hold our leaders accountable, the Global Fund could continue on the path to save 22 million lives by 2016. But this won’t happen without the voices of global citizens like you and me.

The world’s poor shouldn’t have to suffer from conditions that wealthy countries treat or cure every day. Click here to sign the petition and help create a world where HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria are a thing of the past. Everyone deserves the chance to survive and thrive. Let’s stand together to make it happen.

Thanks for all that you do,
