A third shutdown of an Enbridge pipeline
Early yesterday morning, someone shut down Enbridge’s Line 7 oil pipeline near Cambridge Ontario by activating a shutoff valve. This is the third time in less than a month that an Enbridge pipeline was turned off- but the first time that it was done anonymously.
Nelson chapter screens film to facilitate discussion... on corporate tax avoidance
The Council of Canadians Nelson chapter will be screening the documentary The Price We Pay on Jan. 19.
Regina chapter writes federal health minister about for-profit plasma donation clinics
The CEO of Canadian Plasma Resources says if Health Canada approves their application his company could be open in Saskatchewan as early as this month.
Victoria chapter rallies outside courthouse against logging in Walbran Valley
The Council of Canadians Victoria chapter was at the Victoria Courthouse this morning to participate in a rally against the logging company Teal Jones, which is asking the court to deny public access to the Walbran Valley in Pacheedhat First Nation territory on Vancouver Island.
