Major public consultations on the TPP are kicking off in Vancouver on April 18th, and everyone will be watching. This is a key moment to expose the dangers of the TPP, and show just how widespread opposition is.

We want to park a 16-foot JUMBOTRON outside the venue broadcasting your 'Reject TPP' messages, but we have to raise $5000 to make it happen.

Together we can stop the TPP, but we need to show powerful opposition at every opportunity - and this is a huge one.

Can you imagine how you’d feel if you heard that a foreign company was suing our government for billions of dollars for passing laws to protect our environment or your health?

As scary as it sounds, that’s exactly what’s proposed by the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) -- a dangerous trade deal negotiated in secret by Harper. It gets worse and worse: the TPP will cost thousands of good jobs, raise the cost of prescription drugs, and introduce banned hormones into our milk.

Big business lobbyists are pressuring the Trudeau government to approve this dangerous deal, but the government has promised to consult the public before making a final decision.

Public hearings on the TPP are kicking-off Monday in Vancouver. Politicians, national media, and the public will all be watching, making this a key moment to expose the dangers of the TPP. A powerful show of opposition at the hearings could start to turn the tide against the TPP -- and we’ve got a plan to make it happen.

We’re partnering with Open Media and SumOfUs to broadcast giant messages from our supporters opposing the TPP, on a 16-foot Jumbotron that we’ll park outside of the consultation in Vancouver. But we need to raise at least $5,000 to do it.

If each of us chips in what they can, we can make sure public opposition is front and centre in the media coverage of the hearings, and show the new government that people across Canada want them to Reject the TPP -- on a massive 16-foot jumbotron.

Will you help make this action a reality by chipping in as little as $5, $10 or $20 to cover the costs? If we raise over $5,000, the rest will go to supercharging our campaign to stop the TPP.

Together we’ve gone a long way into stopping this dangerous, costly, and lopsided trade deal - one of the last legacies of the Harper decade. Just last year, many expected the Liberals - a historically pro-trade agreement party - would sign and ratify the TPP in no time.

But thanks to the growing opposition, which in large part has been fueled by people like you, our new government is thinking twice about ratifying this deal. If they want to listen to Canadians before making a final decision on the TPP, we need to speak up loud and clear.

To date, over 170,000 people in Canada have spoken out against TPP, including over 25,000 from the Leadnow community -- but we need to make our opposition ever more visible to politicians and media. That’s why we want to put comments from the Leadnow community on a massive Jumbotron outside the public consultations in Vancouver.
