Decisions to shape Canada for a generation

This fall the Trudeau Liberals are going to wrap up their consultations and reveal their plans on key issues like electoral reform, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), pipelines and climate change.
Will they make every vote count, or let the promise of electoral reform die? Will they reject the TPP or lock us in? Will they lead a bold climate plan, or build more pipelines?
On those issues, and many more, the government’s decisions will shape Canada for a generation to come.
So what will they do? It’s going to come down to this: will the many voices of people calling for lasting change be stronger than the powerful interests working behind the scenes to defend the power of the few?
The government is already sending mixed messages on many of its promises - and they need to hear from people like you.[1]
Together, you’ve already engaged thousands of people in this government’s consultations this year. The Leadnow community can tip the balance with a major push for progress as the government returns from the summer break - but we need your help to keep building momentum with thousands of people across the country.
The Leadnow community has come together across party lines for a strong democracy, fair economy and clean environment.
We stood up to Harper because he took advantage of our broken first-past-the-post electoral system to impose a fearful, closed and reckless vision for the country. Now we have a chance for lasting change, and a government that’s already made progress on some important issues.
But the stakes couldn’t be higher, and powerful interests are pushing back. The Leadnow community’s strength comes from our ability to work together to speak out with a unified voice and focus people power in the ridings that determine the outcome of elections.
The Liberals know that they need people like you to vote for them again if they’re going to win the next election - and that’s why you have a unique ability to counter the powerful interests that want to stop progress this fall.
