Leading the legal fight for animal protection
Dear Friend,
I just walked into the Supreme Court of Canada with my colleague Peter Sankoff.
And in only a few short hours, Peter and I will stand before the judges of the Supreme Court and do something groundbreaking: we'll argue on behalf of animals, who have no voices of their own.
This is our first ever intervention in Canada's highest court, and this appeal is critical. It will determine whether animals continue to be legally protected from all forms of sexual abuse.
And the stakes are high. If the Court rules the wrong way, it could legalize some forms of abuse right across the country. That's why our voice, on behalf of the animals, is so important.
Our legal arguments could make all the difference for animals.
We'll let you know what happens as soon when we're done in court.
