Get inspired: Our 2015 Year In Review video is out!

Thanks to your support, 2015 was an amazing year for animals. We're proud of what we accomplished together, and now we're excited to share our first-ever Year In Review video with you. From a groundbreaking Supreme Court of Canada case, fighting for farmed animals, fighting against misleading advertising in the fur industry, to our successful work to elect animal-friendly politicians, it was a momentous year. We couldn't have done it without your support.

VICTORY: Trophy hunting expos cancelled!

Animals won a major victory this month after Animal Justice’s viral petition convinced the Holiday Inn to cancel a traveling African trophy hunting show in Toronto. We’re thrilled the hotel chain took a strong stance and refused to play any role in the cruel and brutal slaughter of majestic African animals. The Saskatoon Inn followed suit by canceling the same show only a few days later, and now we’re asking Coast Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre in Calgary to do the same. Sign the petition and learn more. >>

Parliament is already taking action for animals

After a strong group of animal-friendly MPs endorsed by our political wing Humane Voters Canada were elected to Parliament, we predicted good things for animals. Now, MPs and senators are already putting forward groundbreaking legislation to protect animals, including bills that would ban keeping whales in captivity, and end cosmetic testing on animals. Learn how politicians are championing animal issues. >>

Maple Lodge Farms changes website after Animal Justice complaint

Earlier this year, Animal Justice filed a false advertising complaint with federal regulators alleging that Maple Lodge Farms was misleading consumers by using pastoral photos of chickens that didn't resemble the actual conditions endured by the chickens Maple Lodge slaughters. Since our complaint was filed, Maple Lodge has quietly changed its website. Find out how we're holding Maple Lodge accountable for its ongoing deceptions. >>

Fighting for grizzlies and wolves in B.C.

The B.C. government is gearing up to let hunters kill an unlimited number of wolves and to triple the hunting of grizzlies in the Peace Region of B.C., even though 95 percent of British Columbians oppose trophy hunting. Animal Justice submitted formal comments to the B.C. government to fight against this cruel and scientifically unjustifiable slaughter of wolves and grizzlies. Learn more about our fight to save wolves and grizzlies. >>
