Animal Justice launches Canadian billboard campaign
Dear PAOV,
Animal Justice Canada launched the biggest-ever Canadian animal protection billboard campaign this week, with 68 billboards up across Toronto and Vancouver!
The campaign's four different billboards draw attention to the tremendous suffering endured by animals used for food, fashion, experimentation, and entertainment.
The 10 by... 20 foot billboards are expected to get 1.9 million views per day and 52 million view over the four-week campaign--spreading our message far and wide.
In one ad, the fur trim on a Canada Goose-style jacket is contrasted with the terrifying experience of a coyote, powerless in a leg-hold trap.
In another, the recent bacon fad is held up against a little piglet, starting her life of misery on a factory farm.
In a third ad, teenagers merrily applying make-up beside an image of a rabbit devastated by toxicity tests invites the question: Why hasn't Canada banned cosmetic testing yet?
The fourth ad juxtaposes a trip to the zoo with the dismal life of the chimpanzee on the other side of the bars who will never get to go home.
The billboards call on Canadians to
sign the Animal Charter of Rights
and Freedoms, a petition to grant legal
rights to animals. Every signature helps Animal Justice lead the legal fight
