The Council of Canadians London chapter hosted a letter writing session last night to inspire submissions on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) to the House of Commons standing committee on international trade prior to their June 30 deadline.
CTV reports, "The Energy East pipeline is dominating discussion at major conference underway in Saint John, and some... of the top names in the Maritime energy industry are lining up to support the project.
The Council of Canadians Kent County, Saint John, Fredericton, and Moncton chapters attended a Peace and Friendship Alliance meeting in Rogersville on Sunday.
Red Head community resident (and Council of Canadians Saint John chapter activist) Lynaya Astephen was not able to get into a Saint John city council meeting about the Energy East pipeline yesterday evening.
The Council of Canadians Fredericton and Saint John chapters have joined with a coalition of groups to call on Premier Brian Gallant to spend his province's carbon tax revenue on job creation.
