Despite the rare summer heat last night in Halifax, when I walked into the climate consultation I got chills.
The Council of Canadians held up a 'Stop the TPP' banner for US President Barack Obama to see as his motorcade made its way past the intersection at Bronson Avenue and Colonel By Drive around 10:40 am this morning.
The German newspaper Deutsche Welle (DW) reports, "European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker told EU leaders on Tuesday that CETA would fall within the exclusive competence of the EU executive and therefore didn't need to be ratified by national parliaments in the 28-nation bloc, sources in Brussels told the German news agency DPA."
