Hey Global Citizens,

We need your help choosing the winners of this year's 2016 Waislitz Global Citizen Award. The award gives $100,000 to three individuals who excel in their work to end extreme poverty.

Once Global Citizens vote for the three winners, an expert panel of judges — including Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans and Alex Waislitz of the Waislitz Foundation — will rank them in first, second, and third place.

Check out the finalists here and vote for your favorites.

Last year Twesigye Jackson Kaguri, the director of Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project, won the award for his work. Twesigye makes education more accessible to AIDS orphans in Uganda by building and developing schools for children. He also helps the “grandmothers” raising these orphans to maintain a steady income.

This year, with your help, we will choose three similarly impressive winners to win a first-place prize of $50,000, a second-place prize of $35,000 and a third-place prize of $15,000.

Thanks for doing what you do,
