These dogs don't deserve the death penalty

r1 We'll be in court soon to protect dogfighting victims r33

Dear PAOV,

We have an important update today about our court fight to protect 21 dogs rescued nearly a year ago from an alleged dogfighting ring near Chatham, Ontario.

On November 3, Animal Justice will be in court to ask for permission to intervene in the case.

Although the dogs were rescued, their lives are still at risk. The Ontario SPCA is asking the court to execute them, claiming that they are pit bulls and are too dangerous to continue living.

We believe these dogs deserve a second chance. As innocent victims of horrific animal cruelty, they shouldn't be forced to pay with their lives for what people did to them.

We'll fight to present expert evidence to the court to show how dogs rescued from cruel dogfighters can go on to live happy, loving lives.

Dog rescue organizations like our friends at Bullies In Need are ready and willing to help rehabilitate and find homes for the dogs. Execution is not the only option.

Thank you for all you do to help animals.

Sincerely,
