Hey Paov,
On World Toilet Day, there’s no shame in talking about poo.
Today, Global Citizens in India are celebrating World Toilet Day with the first-ever Global Citizen Festival India in Mumbai, calling on world leaders to be accountable for universal access to sanitation.
Join them now and call on leaders in the High Level Panel on Water to commit to prioritizing support for sanitation initiatives.
Adequate sanitation is critical to ensuring that people everywhere lead happy and healthy lives. That’s why it’s crucial that we ensure that global access to sanitation, immunization, and waste management... systems become a reality for all.
1 in 7 people go to the bathroom out in the open. A lack of adequate sanitation and healthcare disproportionately impacts the poorest communities, crippling development and weakening their capacity to protect against malnutrition, diarrhea, pneumonia, and childhood disease.
As Global Citizens, we know that healthy people means thriving communities, leading us closer towards a world without extreme poverty.
Click here to take action now to give the world’s poor access to sanitation for a healthier world.
Thanks for doing what you do,
Talia and the Global Citizen Team
