The Council of Canadians Quill Plains (Wynyard) chapter has written Wallonia's Minister-President Paul Magnette in support of his position on the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
The Council of Canadians Kent County chapter marked World Water Day with an event drawing attention to the interconnectedness... between forests and watersheds.

There is nothing more important than clean water. Yet water services and water resources are under growing pressure.
On March 22nd, World Water Day, I had the privilege of being part of a human rights delegation to Kitiganik, Rapid Lake reserve, at the invitation of members of Mitchikanibikok Inik, the Algonquins of Barrière Lake.
As we venture to make comments on the NEB “modernization” process, it is important to remember that the main role of the NEB currently is to review, monitor and regulate pipelines and transmission lines across provincial or federal borders.
