Coca-Cola Indonesia workers demand respect for human rights!

Coca-Cola Indonesia workers demand respect for human rights! r1 ... Independent unions at Coca-Cola Indonesia demand respect for human rights Independent unions at Coca-Cola Indonesia, joined by IUF affiliates and other Coca-Cola unions, rallied in front of the Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia head office on May 8 in defense of the fundamental rights the company continues to systematically violate.

Workers and their unions are demanding the reinstatement of SBCCD chairman Atra Narwanto (terminated last year) and protesting the suspension pending termination of SBMCC chairman Lutfi Ariyanto in March 2017, only weeks after the union was officially registered.

Coca-Cola's Australian-based bottler Coca-Cola Amatil is systematically violating basic rights in an effort to stamp out independent and democratic trade unions at its Indonesian operations. And Coca-Cola corporate management in the US knows the full history but has failed to remedy the abuses.
