Paov,

Close to 300,000 girls and women die each year due to pregnancy and childbirth-related causes. That’s more than 800 women a day. The vast majority of these deaths are entirely preventable, but require world leaders to prioritize proven solutions to strengthen health systems, invest in safe and affordable health services and educate women about their health.

Celebrate Mother’s Day by calling on world leaders to make the health of women and girls a global priority.

For example, if the unmet need to contraceptives were addressed—that nearly 225 million women face—the lives of 2.5 million mothers and babies would be saved.

When women are healthy and their rights are fulfilled, they can get a better education, learn and gain the skills and resources they need to get a job and reinvest their income back into their families and children.

Sign the petition urging world leaders to step up and ensure that women’s health is something She Decides.

Thanks for doing what you do,
