We’re planning major campaigns to stop tar sands -- but we need your help. r1

Dear PAOV,

I have spent decades calling on world leaders to take ambitious climate action, so the news of Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Agreement was hard to hear. It means we need to push for even more ambitious climate action from leaders like Justin Trudeau.

However, while Prime Minister Trudeau says he’s committed to the Paris Agreement, his actions to approve two dirty energy pipelines tell a different story.

We just finished the incredibly moving "Raise a Paddle” journey through the tar sands with Pacific Climate Warriors traveling all the way from South East Asia. Now, we're planning major campaigns to stop tar sands extraction and hold Justin Trudeau to his promises -- but we need your help. Will you make a donation of $10 to 350.org?

Thanks to the movement that you and I have built together, the future of the tar sands is very uncertain these days. People in British Columbia just put power in the hands of political leaders who firmly oppose the Kinder Morgan pipeline -- delivering a huge blow to the project. And the fate of the Energy East pipeline continues to hang in limbo as people in Quebec remain resolute in their opposition. While we’re heartened to see that these pipelines are facing huge obstacles, we need to continue building a stronger and more connected movement.

The 350.org team in Canada is challenging one of the biggest tar sands expansion projects ever proposed. Can you invest in this work with a donation to 350.org?

Your support is integral to making sure we are able to keep doing powerful work to keep fossil fuels in the ground. Thank you!

In Respect and Peace,

Clayton Thomas-Müller
