You’re anxious to get into the long weekend, so let’s make this short and to the point.
Canadian clothing retailer Nygard needs to remember that the 200 Cambodian women who were making the clothes it sells are owed wages and severance. Go HERE and in seconds you can send them a polite reminder.
Show our Cambodian union sisters that Canadian unionists will step up when Canadian corporations try to hide. Do it. HERE.
Another group of women workers are looking for our support. The 161 Nurses who work for Niagara Public Health in Ontario are facing a final offer that is lower than what was offered to its male-dominated police force and is less than what hospital, nursing home, and community care nurses have received.
Tell their employer to return to the table and show the same regard for public health nurses as they demonstrate for male-dominated professions in the region. Takes a second. Go HERE.
Credit cards aren’t just for buying beer on holiday weekends. The Sudbury Workers Education and Advocacy Centre is still looking to raise the money needed to do the wonderful things it does. Pop a few bucks for SWEAC HERE.
