Reminder - Egypt: Free jailed union leaders now

Reminder - Egypt: Free jailed union leaders now r1 ... I'm not sure if you saw this message, which I sent you late last month. (If you have, thanks for your support - and please pass it on.)

This is important - trade unionists are in jail for doing their job representing their members.

Please support this campaign. Thanks.

Egyptian authorities have arrested a number of leaders of independent trade unions in recent weeks. Nine leaders have been arrested and of those, seven remain in jail.

These include leaders of the Real Estate Taxes employees' trade union and the union of electricity workers.

There are concerns that other union leaders will soon be arrested as well.

The Center for Trade Union and Workers Services (CTUWS) in Cairo has asked for our help to secure their release.

Their call has been backed by the International Trade Union Confederation and Public Services International.

Please join us in demanding that the Egyptian government release them at once:

And please share this message with your friends, family and fellow union members.

Thank you!
