Today we are told that the Russian Revolution was a coup d’etat by a small group of Bolshevik conspirators. Discover why the revolution was, in fact, widely supported by Russians of many political views as well as by people worldwide seeking a better life, the forerunners of today's social movement activists.
Join this discussion on the meaning and impact of the Russian Revolution for global politics and social movements, coinciding with the 100-year anniversary of the revolution of November 7, 1917. Featuring a presentation by Ben Isitt, historian and author of From Victoria to Vladivostok: Canada Siberia Expedition, 1917-19, followed by a discussion and live music.
