Campaign updates - a win in Fiji, but the fight goes on in Indonesia and Algeria

Campaign updates - a win in Fiji, but the fight goes on in Indonesia and Algeria r1 ... It's been a busy week, and we're celebrating one victory while continuing the fight for workers' rights in other places.

Fiji - Lockout Over

The lockout at Fiji's international airport has ended and we've closed down our campaign. I want to thank the nearly 8,000 trade unionists from around the world who showed solidarity with those workers. Here is one example of news coverage of the workers' victory . Meanwhile, the trade unions in that country continue to face threats and we may yet need to call upon you again for support. Full coverage of the struggles in Fiji can be found on LabourStart.

Indonesia - No place for Zero Rights at the Olympics

Coca-Cola is a major sponsor of this year's Winter Olympics but for nearly three years, the company's exclusive bottler for Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific has been busy bashing workers rights in Indonesia. According to the International Union of Foodworkers (IUF), "There should be no place for Zero Rights at the Olympic Games." Please take a moment to support their online campaign, here.

Algeria - Government attacks on human rights intensify

Over 9,300 of you have supported our campaign in defence of the independent union of electricity and gas workers . There's now an update on their struggle on the IUF website as the government has escalated its attacks. Can you help us get up to 10,000 supporters of this important campaign?

Let's ramp up our efforts to support workers in Fiji, Indonesia, Algeria and elsewhere -- share this message with your friends, family and fellow union members.

Thank you!
