It’s our favorite night of the year.
The BCCLA’s 2018 Liberty Awards Gala is coming up on May 17, 2018!
The Liberty Awards Fundraising Gala honours exceptional contributions to human rights and civil liberties in Canada.
It’s time to nominate someone you believe is making an important impact!
Nominations are open till February 15, 2018 - so get your nomination in early!
There are six Liberty Award categories:
- Youth and Community
- Arts
- Journalism
- Legal Advocacy - Individual
- Legal Advocacy - Firm
- Reg Robson Award for Excellence in Civil Liberties
All BCCLA members and supporters are welcome to submit nominations.

BCCLA's Liberty Awards Fundraising Gala is our most important fundraising event, but more than that, it’s a beautiful evening honouring the exceptional courage, tenacity, brilliance, and resilience that it takes to make Canada more free, equal, and just.
