We hope you can join us for two important events coming up this week in Vancouver: the 28th Annual Women's Memorial March and the Policing Black Lives Book Launch.

28th Annual Women's Memorial March
The women’s memorial march continues to honour the lives of missing and murdered women and all women’s lives lost in the Downtown Eastside.
When: Wednesday, February 14th, 12 PM - 3 PM
Where: March begins at Main Street and E. Hastings, Vancouver. If you'd like to join us, BCCLA supporters will congregate in front of RBC at 11:45 AM.
Note: March organizers ask that you please not bring agency, group, or organizational banner, flags, or leaflets as the Women's Memorial March carries banners only to honour the women. Signs honouring women's lives are welcome.

Policing Black Lives Book Launch
Join us for a book launch of Robyn Maynard's Policing Black Lives: State Violence in Canada from Slavery to the Present. The book is a comprehensive account of nearly four hundred years of state-sanctioned surveillance, criminalization, and punishment of Black life in Canada.
What: Policing Black Lives Book Launch
When: Thursday, March 1, 2018. 6 PM - 9 PM.
Where: Room 1900, SFU Habour Center, 515 West Hastings.
