Dangerous attack

Trudeau could be on the verge of launching a dangerous attack on our democratically-elected BC government -- all to force through Kinder Morgan’s dirty pipeline and tankers. [1]

It all started when John Horgan’s NDP government announced common-sense steps to protect BC waters from oil spills. Alberta’s Premier blew a gasket, demanding Ottawa step in this week to kneecap the BC NDP government. Now, top officials from Trudeau’s government are hinting action against BC is coming. [2-3]

With your help we can take our message right to Trudeau’s doorstep. I’ve been on the phone all morning reserving ad space near Parliament Hill. We could put a giant billboard right outside Trudeau’s office, flood Ottawa with online ads, and even plaster your message inside the bathrooms of the bars where Trudeau’s staff meet for after-work drinks -- but only if we can raise $7,000 in the next 36 hours.

But Trudeau could take action to force the pipeline through any day now, so we can’t afford to wait. Will you chip in right now so we can get these ads up this week?

Trudeau is playing a dangerous game. He is about to torpedo his reputation with voters in BC to pander to the whims of Texas oil barons and the Premier of Alberta -- even though he won more than 4 times as many seats in BC than Alberta….and there are zero seats in Texas. [4]

What’s more, he’s about to set a dangerous precedent for federal overreach that could spark backlash from voters all across the country, and especially in vote-rich Quebec.

Plastering powerful ads across Ottawa will show Trudeau that the voters he needs to win the next election are demanding he back off, now.

Everytime Trudeau or his advisers walk in or out of their office, they’ll be faced with this strong, unified message from BC voters cautioning Ottawa to tread extremely carefully. It could convince him that the high-stakes game of political poker he’s playing is not worth it.

Will you chip in for an emergency ad campaign to convince Trudeau to back off? We’ve already reserved space to start running your ads this week, but we need to raise $7,000 by midnight tomorrow to pull it off.

The more you chip in the bigger your ad campaign will be:
  • If we raise $500, we’ll run a carefully-targeted online ad campaign to flood the cell phones and computers of MPs, Ministers and political staffers with your ads.
  • If we raise $1500, we’ll also put your ads in dozens of bathroom stalls in the restaurants and bars near Parliament where MPs and staffers go for dinner and drinks.
  • If we raise $7,000, we’ll also put a huge billboard right outside the Prime Minister’s Office -- where Justin Trudeau will have to walk past it almost every day.

Supa, we can’t let Trudeau bulldoze through our democratically-elected BC NDP government, and the First Nations whose land the pipeline and tankers would cross. We need to stand up.

Your hard-hitting ad could be what it takes to convince Trudeau to back off -- but we only have until midnight tomorrow to raise the cash. Will you chip in?
