Paov,
The next 48 hours could shape the future of the Internet in Canada for generations to come.
That’s how long is left to say no to Bell’s reckless attempt to censor our Internet by implementing a website blocking system.
Bell’s proposal to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) could open the floodgates to widespread Internet censorship.1 If we don’t speak out now, the proposal will give Big Telecom the power to censor what you see online — without... court oversight.2
Join us — tell the CRTC you say no to website blocking
Paov, this proposal is an attack on freedom of expression and Net Neutrality in Canada.
We can’t let Bell’s vested interests trample our rights and the open Internet. Every voice on the record counts and will influence the CRTC’s ultimate decision to let Bell censor the web or not. And we need your help.
The clock is ticking — we don’t have a second to lose. Join the more than 100,000 Canadians who have already spoken out about this terrible proposal.3 If we speak up in huge numbers, the CRTC will have no choice but to listen to us and reject Bell’s dangerous proposal.
Thank you for standing against censorship,
Katy on behalf of OpenMedia
