A,

Breaking: Kinder Morgan just announced it is considering pulling the plug on the dangerous Trans Mountain pipeline project -- by the end of next month. And Sunday, it announced it is immediately suspending all non-essential spending on the pipeline project.

This is massive step towards killing this dangerous pipeline project for good -- and you helped make this cataclysmic shift happen. But the fight isn’t over. Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr and Alberta Premier Rachel Notley just announced they’re willing to do almost anything to get this project built.

That gives us just 7 weeks to fight like we never have before. Now, more than ever, we need to pile pressure on vulnerable Liberal MPs in BC, and prepare for Kinder Morgan’s rapidly-approaching shareholder meeting, where our allies have a shareholder proposal calling for greater climate disclosure ready to present.

With your support, we’ll double down our campaign targeting vulnerable Liberal MPs in BC, keep the pressure on Prime Minister Trudeau, and plan a major plash at Kinder Morgan AGM, while financially supporting Indigenous activists on the frontline.

Will you please chip in now to put the final nail in the coffin for Kinder Morgan?

Let me be incredibly honest here: without your support, we would have never gotten to this point. The persistence of regular people taking action for what is right is why we are in this situation right now where we could actually stop this project.

On Thursday, you helped make a massive protest with a giant mobile billboard in Vancouver happen that sent a powerful message to Trudeau that he stands to lose up to 18 seats in BC if he goes ahead with the Kinder Morgan pipeline project.

Alongside our incredible partners Leadnow.ca and 350.org, over 700 people showed up and we made national headlines from coast to coast to coast. And just one day later, pundits on Power and Politics were discussing the electoral risk to the Prime Minister for pushing ahead with this project:

"There's no win for the Trudeau government in this. He's either going to lose votes in British Columbia and other parts of the country that don't particularly like pipelines."

Then, on Saturday, Indigenous leaders led by Grand Chief Stewart Phillip shut down work at Kinder Morgan’s Burnaby pipeline construction site. And Kinder Morgan was too scared of amplifying the protest to order the arrests of so many prominent Indigenous leaders.

It is clear we're on the right track. Indigenous-led resistance is working. Years of work, led by Indigenous activists, is finally paying off.

Image shows hundreds of people gathered outside the Vancouver Art Gallery holding signs and banners opposing Kinder Morgan.

Now is the critical moment to put the final nail in the coffin of Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline project. With your support, we'll get to work immediately on critical work upping pressure at the political and investor level, and financially support frontline Indigenous-led resistance.

Together, we can show the world that no project, no matter how unstoppable it may seem, is too big to fail. Your support is proof that, when we come together, we are truly powerful.
