Bayer

Bayer is risking an ecological armageddon by continuing to produce bee-killing pesticides.

Many people have pension or mutual funds that own shares in bee-killing Bayer.

Maybe you do, or know someone who does? Let's ask them to bring pressure to bear on Bayer's Board of Management.

TAKE ACTION

A,

For years, Bayer has made a fortune selling pesticides that kill bees and other wildlife.

If you have a 401(k), pension or mutual fund, you probably hold shares indirectly in Bayer. We have made a tool to leverage your weight to send Bayer's bosses a... message they cannot ignore.

Tip: You may not see your provider listed, or don't have a pension even. If that's the case, please just think of this email as an update about the bees campaign -- there will be lots more coming soon.

Use our simple tool to tell your pension provider or fund manager to hold bee-killing Bayer to account, by refusing to approve the company's Board of Management.

Honeybees perform about 80% of all pollination, and a single bee colony can pollinate 300 million flowers each day, making them essential to farmers. But a deadly mix of pesticides, parasites, and climate change have put bee populations in crisis around the world.

Some governments are stepping up and taking action to limit the use of bee-killing pesticides to address the threat -- but corporations like Bayer are not changing course.

Together, we can change that.

If you have a pension or mutual fund, you almost certainly hold shares indirectly in Bayer. That means you have a critical lever to get Bayer to understand it can’t keep relying on a devastating business model.

Use our simple tool to find your pension fund and ask it to vote against the approval of the performance of Bayer’s Board of Management.

We know that fund managers listen to clients like you because without your retirement savings they would not be able to buy shares in any company! Last year SumOfUs members got their fund managers to vote for a proposal asking Exxon to report on climate change -- and it passed!

When we use our collective power to demand corporations be held accountable to the public we have been able to make big and important changes.

That’s why this is the time to hit Bayer where it hurts -- power and influence -- and tell Bayer the world is DONE with the toxic pesticides they sell.

TAKE ACTION

Thanks for all that you do,
Lisa, Wiebke, Eoin and the team at SumOfUs
