URGENT: Kinder Morgan bailout

We have less than 5 days to stop the Kinder Morgan bailout.
The Trudeau government has been holding secret meetings with Kinder Morgan for weeks, negotiating an outrageous scheme to bail out the Texas corporation’s floundering pipeline and tanker project with your hard-earned tax dollars. [1]
Now, Oil Minister Jim Carr is promising a deal before May 31st -- and if we’re going to stop this handout to big oil, we need to act fast. [2]
We’re producing a hard-hitting “No Kinder Morgan Bailout” radio ad -- and with your help we can flood the airwaves in 17 BC ridings where Liberal MPs are already worried about losing their seats... over Kinder Morgan.
If we can get this ad on the air, it could be the final push that convinces Liberals in vulnerable BC seats to speak out against the bailout -- throwing a wrench in Trudeau’s plan.
But with an announcement coming any day now, we need to get your ad on the air this week. We've already reserved airtime and lined up a team to produce the ad -- but we need to raise $5000 by Thursday to make it happen.

A whopping 70% of BC voters oppose the Kinder Morgan bailout -- and you can bet Liberal MPs in BC are already worrying about how many votes they’ll lose if Trudeau follows through on his bailout plan. [3]
If we blanket Liberal ridings in BC with hard-hitting radio ads, it could be enough to convince them to speak out against the Kinder Morgan bailout -- and the more Liberal MPs who speak out, the harder it will be for Trudeau to follow through with his bailout plan.
Liberal MPs in BC have spoken against Kinder Morgan before. Just last year, Terry Beech and Hedy Fry voted against the pipeline in a symbolic vote. [4]
But with Trudeau’s Oil Minister hinting that a bailout will be announced in the next 16 days, we need to convince more Liberal MPs to speak out, to make it politically impossible for Trudeau to follow through with his bailout.
We’ve reserved air time on a popular radio station that broadcasts throughout 17 Liberal ridings in BC’s Lower Mainland. We can get your ad on the air this week -- but only if we raise $5000 by Thursday. Will you chip in whatever you can afford?

Thanks to the Leadnow community, Liberal MPs are already feeling the heat over Trudeau’s plan to give Kinder Morgan a taxpayer-funded handout. Almost 30,000 of you signed a “Stop the Kinder Morgan Bailout” petition, and hundreds of you chipped in to put a hard-hitting ad in the newspaper MPs read at their party convention last month. And across BC, volunteers have been plastering posters around their ridings calling out Liberal MPs for supporting the pipeline.
We’re already getting nervous calls and emails from Liberal MPs in BC -- and that shows your pressure is working.
