Resistance from coast to coast

Yesterday we saw record breaking resistance. Today, let's drive the message home. r1

I’ve been fighting Kinder Morgan for over half a decade now and I have never seen such rapid and large-scaled demonstration of resistance to this pipeline.

Yesterday, thousands of people in more than 100 communities all across the country mobilized for snap actions to show Prime Minister Trudeau that he can’t dump billions of our tax dollars into Kinder Morgan’s climate wrecking, Indigenous rights violating, failing pipeline and tanker project. Now let’s drive that message home. Will you sign the petition calling on Trudeau to hold cross-country consultations on his Big Oil buy out?

The resistance to Kinder Morgan has come a long way and I'd like to thank you for everything you've done to be a part of it. Here are some of the highlights from the photos I... watched pour in all day yesterday.

The fact that people all across the country managed to pull off a massive National Day of Action in just 6 days shows that despite Trudeau’s continued attempts to ram the pipeline through -- the resistance to Kinder Morgan’s failing pipeline project is only growing. Now, let’s make sure they hear from us. Join us in calling on the Trudeau government to hold pipeline consultations with the project's new shareholders: people just like you and I.

Thousands of you turned out to your local actions with signs and banners to make your voices heard, and your message was amplified through extensive media coverage, including the top story on CBC, and dozens of local media stories.1 And the Liberals are feeling the heat. Reporters in Ottawa grilled Environment Minister Catherine McKenna for a response to the Day of Action -- and it was clear she didn’t know how to respond.2

Together, we’ve sent a powerful warning to the Liberals -- that if they follow through with plans to build the pipeline, they’re going to face fervent resistance from every corner of the country. And this is just the beginning. Sign the petition to be part of the movement to stop this pipeline.

With excitement,

PS - In a few days I’ll be meeting with’s Canada team to build a plan to make sure the Liberals don’t get away with this big oil buyout. I can’t wait to share what we come up with.
