Dear Friends of SJS,
VIDEA 40th Anniversary Speakers Series
Over the upcoming months VIDEA will be hosting a number of speaker events to bring our community together to explore interesting and relevant social justice and international development topics.

Pérez Piñán will be talking about colonialism in the international context by offering an overview of the current state of affairs in Puerto Rico, 8 months after hurricanes Maria and Irma. She will contextualise the Island’s situation in terms of its relationship with the United States, and will open space for reflecting on some of the local actions of Puerto Ricans towards a decolonized future.
